Application security is one of the most important things that a user relies on to keep their system safe. If a developer is skipping corners, it could lead to some serious repercussions for the user and the system that they are using the application on. With a recent method called continuous deployment and integration, applications are being refined daily or hourly (Strom, 2019). This gives the developer an opportunity to find and security flaws and fix them on an almost daily basis. If the developer chooses to not fix these flaws, there is a serious moral consequence in doing so. Attackers will take advantage of these flaws in no time and turn what was once a secure application into a non-secure application. This may have an effect not only of the user but can damage the reputation of the product and its developer for a long time. Developers need to use all the available tools at their disposal to make sure that their products fit the bill of security. The tools that are used to most are static testing, mobile testing and interactive testing (Strom, 2019). If a developer takes the time to make sure their product is safe, there will be no issues regardless of the platform that it is put out on.
