For this essay, you will choose a topic and locate at least three valuable and reliable sources. These sources should all be closely related to your topic and should contribute to your thesis (claim).

How?

While the steps in the writing process for the essay may very, you should have developed an inquiry, analyzed your sources and the ways they relate to one another, and gained an understanding of the larger conversation they are participating in and how you anticipate entering this discussion, before you begin drafting.

In addition to considering methods of analysis, think on and return to these questions to guide your planning process:
