James B. Christa:
TEAM DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Introduction
Having the right personnel to undertake a project is not an easy task. In some instances, the work to be done requires appropriate personnel that are flexible enough to work through changes in the project (Martsinkovska, 2020). This section will include the team development plan that will aid the project in implementing the system.
Team Development
The project will require several personnel that will work in different organizational departments. Each department has to contribute at least one member to the project team as the project aims to improve organizational efficiency in the organization. These members will be tasked with identifying loopholes in their departments. The organization's success will be determined by the nature of the communications and cooperation by the departments. The department heads will appoint personnel to work in the task force. These members must have some experience in the organization and ensure that they are relevant with the technology being input.
These members are required to show teamwork, integrity, consistency and objectivity. They must be flexible enough to contemplate the issues at hand. Once the department heads have appointed the members, they will receive a memo indicating the nature of operations within the project. Afterwards, the project leader will call for a meeting where all appointed members will be called, and the objectives will be discussed. Each member will be given a specific task, and they will report their findings after every three working days.
The meetings will be held where each member will contribute their findings and a discussion held where people will share ideas and opinions. The IT department will act as counsel in the organization. In some instances, the work will be grouped, and people will have to look for some time to work on the project. The project team will be required to keep time and use professional skills at all times. Employees will present their findings using whiteboards and share them using appropriate presentation programs. The project manager will act as the leader where all decisions will have to pass through him. The project team will share their insights on a decision and cast a vote. The decision-maker will choose the decision with the highest members upon assessing the benefits.
It is expected that conflicts will arise in the project as people share their insights and opinions. Members are expected to be disciplined at all times, and the conflict of ideas should not become physical. The employees will always work in favour of the project objectives. If the conflict exceeds the members, the project manager will get involved and use the simplest means to solve the issue. A cost analysis will be shown to the members, and the project members will come to a memorandum understanding.
Each deliverable set must be accomplished upon the set time. It implies that this person will always work together for a common purpose. The project deliverables will be set at the appropriate time and the correct call taken by the members. The project manager will ensure that the timely reports are submitted to the organization's project sponsors and the strategic team. The project manager will also require outside counsel from an IT institution to guide them in installing quality products (Pachura, 2018).
