Resource Acquisition Process

Acquiring Project Resources

What to Purchase

The project entails installing automated project systems through advanced enterprise resource planning. The resources to be purchased include computer gadgets such as servers, ethernet cables, hardware drives, software systems that enhance security systems.

Why Purchase

The project entails updating all the plans and programs of the project such that the project outcomes will ensure that operations are carried out remotely and will enhance accountability and storage of information that is critical in making informed decisions (Ying, Hassan & Ahmad, 2019).

When to Purchase

The items will be purchased once the management has approved the project. The project team will outline the needs assessment in the organization. The projects team will outline all the products to be purchased, and the list will be displayed to the project shareholders. Once the shareholders approve the purchase, the project team in charge of procurement will buy the equipment (Ding & Huang, 2019).

How to Purchase

After approval by the project sponsors to purchase these systems, the project team will outsource some of the vendors in the industry. They will look into the price and quality of the products, and the most efficient product will be chosen. Equipment purchased will be for the sole purpose of updating these systems (Jiang et al., 2018).
