Writing Objectives Template

Standard: 3.OA.7 Fluently multiply and divide within 100, using strategies such as the

relationship between multiplication and division (e.g., knowing that 8 × 5 = 40, one knows 40 ÷

5 = 8) or properties of operations. By the end of Grade 3, know from memory all products of two

one-digit numbers.

3rd grade, mathematics

Key:

Audience – (Green)

Behavior – (Red)

Condition – (Pink)

Degree – (Purple)

Cognitive Domain

Standard (copied from MDE Standards document)

• Using the given standard, the student will be able to describe strategies used to multiply

number within 100 fluently by the end of the year.

• Given a set of numbers, students will be able to determine solutions to multiplication and

division problems by memory, within given class time periods.

3

• Given examples of division, students will be able to assemble shapes with pieces of division

sentences and their answers correctly by the end of the class period.

• Given a group of dominos, students will be able to flip over dominos and write math problems

and their solutions using multiplication skills, checked by the teacher at the end of class.

Affective Domain

• Given the opportunity to work in a group, students will be able to demonstrate understanding of

multiplication and division by rolling dice to answer math questions, measured by a time clock

up to 30 minutes.

• Given a set of blocks, students will be able to work with a partner to build a structure using

multiplication and division to determine its comparison to real world buildings, measured by a

checklist utilized by the teacher.
