A. Web 2.0 is more varied in communication as well as reaching out in education and business.
i) Web 2.0 is superior to Web 1.0 series making it more efficient
ii) Web 2.0 comes with more options for businesses that would want to interact more with their stakeholders for the purpose of the growth and development of the projects (Nations, 2016).
B. According to Jones and Irendale (2009), there are different kinds of Web 2.0.
i) These kinds as well as the social nature of Web 2.0 aids in the creation of opportunities of marketing through the opinions that are shared via online exchange.
II. Web 2.0 comes with its advantages and disadvantages
A. It assists with upholding the status of a business
B. Institutions can take advantage of its communication feature to pass message across
i) Teachers in institutions can use it to teach as well as use it to facilitate the completion of assignments
III. Web 2.0 is a social web
A. According to Nations (2016), the increase in the usage of the internet has changed the way people interact with it
i) People are now at liberty to put what they want on the internet
ii) Users are in more control over what they post on common theme websites such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, blog platforms such as WordPress and Tumbir, social news sites such as Reddit, and Dig among others, and Wikis such as Wikipedia.
iii) Web 2.0 is simply connecting people to other people
iv) Web 2.0 changes the way people think through the sharing of ideas through information as much as the notion of proprietary information.
v) Web link is gradually turning into a form of currency
B. On the social web level, Web 2.0 is fast, more responsive, facilitates participation, and is interactional in general (Nations, 2016).
i) Businesses are opting for this mode of interaction with their stakeholders considering that it can propel a business to success.
ii) The disadvantage of this approach is that it can affect a business negatively by affecting its image and building a bad reputation
iii) The extent of data sharing is risky and raises fears concerning privacy and security
iv) The simplicity of Web 2.0 can easily affect the credibility of the webite content as well as the ethics involved, and the legality of the content of the web (Techtarget)
IV. Web 2.0 is simple to use
A. Considering how responsive it is, websites can exploit the collective power of people because more numbers are more likely to use it unlike when fewer people will use it if it were hard to use.
V. According to Kirton’s theory of adaptation, fresh entrepreneurs who begin things from the scratch approach would be on the inventive adaptors due to the styles and risks that they incorporate in their approach of operating a business (Jones and Iredale, 2009).
A. Intrapreneuers on the other hand, have an experience on how run a business and are therefore aware of the areas that need to be changed unlike the case with new businesspersons.
B. Creative innovators are more advantaged because they know how to improve a product or redevelop their services without having to use much resources for this activity.
VI. Conclusion
A. Web 2.0 is better than Web 1.0 due the additional effective features it offers. It is also simple to use and provides a platform for easy social interaction. As such, it can be used by businesses and institutions for interaction and other functions such as marketing and assigning duties and responsibilities
B. It ease of use comes with disadvantages such as concern for security and privacy of web content.
