Required Length:  2 1/2 - 3 pages Part 1:  Research on Transgender This DB has several parts. You are required to answer all parts.  Although you completed the chapter on gender several weeks ago, the more recent focus on transgender among youth inspired me to include such an item in this DB.

1. Research an article on transgendered youth. Discuss some of the common problems (whether physiological, psychological, or emotional) that they encounter during and/or after the transgendering process.  What are some reasons that they give for undergoing the transgendering process? 2.  Do you feel that transgendered youth should be restricted to use the bathroom that coincides with their birth gender or their aspiring or aspired gender? Why or why not?  Would you be comfortable using the same facilities of a transgendered youth/ Why or why not?  Part 2:  Research on COVID and Work Research an article on the impact of COVID on work and the family. Discuss its impact during the most severe cases of institutional shut downs and the current impact as society is opening up. What long term impact do you think it has on the family?  . Part 3:  Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy 1.  What is Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy? 2.  There may be some question about whether Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy could be exacerbated or lessened by COVID 19, given that more parents are home during the day.  What is your opinion on that?  Do you think COVID 19 may have an effect on Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy? 3.  Have you ever heard of any situation (among family, friends, or acquaintances )  or TV show where Munchausen was suspected? How was it treated?  What was the outcome? 4.  In your opinion, how should Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy be viewed and what treatment should be rendered to the perpetrator of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy?
