Breanna Williams
The group leader started the first session off with clear rules and roles for everyone involved. According to Dale & Sith (2013), roles are differentiated by power, which in this case study the power is with the group leader. In the case study, it explains that they made it clear that they were not there as experts at life rather than leaders who were there to be a source of support. They ensured everyone that there would be confidentiality within the group, and the only point that information would be shared is if there was any immediate danger to themselves or others. This helped to build trust between the group members and the leader of the group.
