please reflect on the first two decades of America’s independence.  The first government established was under the Articles of Confederation.  Why did the Articles of Confederation fail?  What types of changes were introduced in the Constitution that helped remedy the problems of the Articles of Confederation?  Also, think about George Washington's Presidency.  What types of precedents did he set? What were some of the issues he struggled with during his Presidency?
