After a stressful day at work; First thing I do is to get in my car and take some deep breaths. I put on some calming music. I do this because sometimes the drive home can be just as stressful as the workplace. Once you are stressed at work, it could lead to other things on the way home road rage being one. When I get home I take off my shoes, make me a cup of tea and meditate. I think about the things that gives me pleasure. I do after work activities that gives me joy running, exercising, yoga or just taking a walk. This helps me to relax and get ready for what I have to do at home. Doing this helps me not to let my work life cause me to be short or impatient with my family. These are ways I have learned to destress.

There are many ways to handle stress after a long day of work. After a long day of work I handle my stress in three different ways. First thing I usually do is take a hot shower to relax my muscles from standing up all day and lifting heavy boxes. The hot shower is good for many different things when it comes to stress but one thing I use it for is to relax my body. The next thing I do is fix myself a warm, home cooked meal. A full meal to fill an empty stomach can help relieve a lot of stress after a long day of work. A lot of people don't think about it, but you never really get to eat a proper meal at work, definitely during a busy day; most of the stress can be coming from you not eating the right way while using so much energy at once. Last but not least, the most important thing I do after a stressful day of work is make sure I get the proper amount of sleep before I go back to work the next day; that way my body has enough recovery time so the stress level is not worse the next day.
