Introduction:
I have found that one of the most heated debates in the United States is illegal immigration. I am not surprised that this is the case, especially knowing how immigration has affected so many individuals today. Illegal immigration is known as “all foreign-born non-citizens who are not legal residents. Most unauthorized residents either entered the United States without inspection or were admitted temporarily and stayed past the date they were required to leave” ( Procon.org, 2015). In many cases, illegal immigrants are handled accordingly for example, in the United States, if an individual is found without a visa they can face harsh punishment and this punishment could mean seriously jail time.
From my understanding, individuals who are considered to be illegal immigrants have contributed greatly by increasing the wages for middle class families and paying taxes.
I. Arguments:
a. Argument 1
i. Deportation is a bad idea, family will be split up, imagine being a child knowing that you have to be split from your family
ii. Deportation of illegal immigrants is the worse way to handle this situation, think of all the children that is born in America and they are automatically citizen, but if the parents don't have citizenship then they will get deported without their children in which this creates a new problem of a rising number of foster children or orphan.
iii. America is made up of different diversity of cultures, and has given many opportunities to immigrants of other countries. Therefore, there should not be any rules to how long someone can reside in the United States.
