For this assignment you will write a paper applying theory to a particular crime. You will choose a major field of criminology (Classical, Biological, Psychological or Sociological) that explains the causation of one of the following crime categories:

1) any crime selected from the Uniform Crime Reports, National Incident Based Reporting System or National Crime Victimization Survey

2) any white-collar crime

3) any environmental crime.

Your paper should have five sections: an introduction, conclusion and three substantive sections. In each substantive section, compare and contrast all the other fields, explaining why they are not as significant a cause for your chosen crime.

This research paper is to be a minimum of 8 full pages of text (though you should always try to exceed the minimum standards), not counting the required title page, abstract, or references, double-spaced, typed paper on the topic of criminology. It should also include a minimum of eight scholarly reference sources. Write the paper using APA style of writing.
