Psychiatric Diagnosis

Hello, my name is Julia and am a seventeen-year-old college student. I am calling to set up an appointment because I am feeling that something is wrong with my life. My friends keep complaining about my weight and my mom is claiming that I am not eating well. Yet I do not see the change.   I am a college freshman, I have gained a lot of weight due to unhealthy eating habits. Lately I have been so sluggish and my coach was becoming concerned since I am not running so well.

My plan was to get my weight down to 130 pounds by improving my eating habits, but due to stress my weight dropped fast to 115 pounds. Since then I have avoided my mom since she keeps saying I am not eating well and am becoming slim. My friends are also saying the same thing until I decided to leave my roommate Rebecca. I do not see anything wrong because I am performing better in my running and I am also working hard to keep my grades up.

I have also decided to cut off friends so that I can concentrate on my studies and athletics at the same time. I am seeking psychotherapy because I think there must be a problem and I cannot figure it out.  I need to know what is wrong and why I am losing so much weight. I also need to know how to deal with my mom since I feel she is watching me so closely. I have lost most of my friends because of my current decisions. Please, help me figure out what is wrong with me.
