Phase I

Phase I

In this class, we have learned about some of the pioneers of quality, and what their thoughts were as it relates to quality.

We have learned about some of the tools of quality, (the seven basic tools).

In addition, we have learned about acceptance sampling, and control charts.

To this point we have covered variables control charts, and have begun our study of the attribute control charts.

Still to cover in this course is CUSUM and EWMA control charts and process capability

Phase I

There will come a time that you must make decisions…how best to approach an issue based on what you know, what you have learned.

This course is about statistical process control, and how to use it to approach and solve problems.

You have often heard me say something to the effect of “it is more than just understanding how to calculate things such as control limits, it is also understanding the “why we do it”, and the “applicability” of it

Phase I

With that understanding, you will often come across differing opinions, different approaches to a problem, different approaches of application of tools etc.

Phase I of your will challenge you in that area
