Directions There are many words in Franklin’s writing that are archaic, which means that we do not use them much today, and so they may be unfamiliar to you. As you read, write down these unfamiliar words (with the page number you found them on) in the chart. When you have finished reading, look up the work and find out its meaning, and write this definition in the second column. In the third column, create a connection between your archaic word and something more familiar in the modern day.
