Monograph Book Trailer Assignment

Step 1 – Read the guide
Use the article “ How to Read a Historical Monograph (PDF uploaded.) " to guide your reading.
Step 2 – Read the monograph: Lentz-Smith, Adriane Danette. 2009. Freedom Struggles: African Americans and World War I. Cambridge, Mass: Harvard University Press. Book attached as PDF, you will need to google illustrations.
As you read, take notes as suggested in the guide in Step 1.
Step 3 – Watch the tutorial
This great video “How To Create a Book Trailer with Adobe Spark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtO5kUsCAyo will show you the steps you need to create your organizer (script) and the video.
Step 4 – Look at some examples

Step 5 – Write your script
Use this template BLANK TEMPLATE (PDF Uploaded) to fill in your organizer. This will essentially be your script for the video. Follow the instructions on the template.
Step 6 – Make your video
Sign into Adobe Spark (Links to an external site.) using your HCC email and password (this will give you free access). Create your video! I will Create video just provide me everything template requires with illustrations to use for video. Illustrations will need to be googled since there are none on the book attached.
Step 6 – Turn in
Post a link to your completed video to the assignment on Canvas.
