This Asian tea drink has become so popular even though Birmingham is regarded as a coffee society. Not only because of growing number of Asian people living and studying here but also because of its increasing popularity among the British people here. Initially the British people are famous for drinking tea with milk and sugar and this is an important reason why bubble tea shop entrepreneurship would have greater opportunity here rather than in other western countries. The company is started to satisfy the demand of university students, especially Chinese students. 3 problems are seen as the opportunity. 1. Distribution of bubble tea stores. Existing competitors just concentrate around city center and China town. 2. Taste and health concern. In UK people more sugar addictive so provide additional 125% and 150% sweetness choice rather than only100%, 75%, 50%, 25% and 0 as other stores, sugar or sweetness substitute. Milk choice in some drinks (coconut milk, oat milk, semi-skimmed milk) and cream topping choice. 3. Social needs. In Birmingham most bubble shops in busy area, no seat and rest area. This store can provide area for rest just like a café shop. It also helps build loyalty and attract new customers initially not addictive to bubble tea. The shop will franchise ALS GONGCHA. The average cost of setting up a franchise is about £50,000 but this varies greatly according to the individual business model - it could be anything from £10,000 to £500,000. Most banks who deal in franchising will offer a loan of between 50 and 70 per cent of your start up costs. INCLUDING shop design, refurbishment, staff training and some advertising. http://www.alsgongcha.co.uk
