Differentiated Instruction Interview
Tailoring instruction to meet a students specific needs.
I use hand gestures teach story retelling and boom cards with pictures for students who need support recalling details. I offer another activity that allows students to touch the pictures to recall the details and allow students to write sentences to recall key details. These activities come with different levels of stories.
I provide small group instruction on the student’s level and level their centers.
Students work in heterogeneous groups when reading in pairs and in small groups they receive instruction tailored to their reading level.
It gives all students the same opportunity to learn the material
