You are required to write an extended response (500 words) on one (1) of these question
options:
Option 1: How are cultures changing because of globalisation? What are the
benefits but also the challenges of this change?
Option 2: What is the connection between globalisation and cultural hybridisation
and homogenisation?
Discuss one (1) of these question options.

You are required to select ONE (1) of the Human Rights topics covered by another group
from your class (not the same as the one you covered in your group presentation) and
write an extended response (500 words) that responds to these three things:
1. Summarise the human rights issue from your chosen seminar and
explain how it is in breach of the principles of the UDHR.
2. Give one (1) strong example of how the international community (eg.
governments, OR NGOs, OR the UN and its agencies, OR the ICC) has
responded to the issue.
3. Critically evaluate the effectiveness of the response(s) and include
recommendations for further action/response.
Instructions:

You must choose a topic that was presented by another group from your class, but it cannot be the same issue that you presented on.
You can also use examples from what you have been learning about global concepts of Human Rights in class
It is recommended that you primarily use the reference list provided to you in class during the student led seminars
