Differences  between Threat and Vulnerabilities :

Threat : A threat is an agent that may want to or definitely can result in harm to the target organization. Threats include organized crime, spyware, malware, adware companies, and disgruntled internal employees who start attacking their employer.

Few things for Business to secure threats:

1.Ensure that your team members are staying informed of current patterns in cyber security so they can rapidly recognize new threats. They should subscribe in to web journals (like Wired) and digital broadcasts (like Techgenix Extreme IT) that cover these issues just as join professional associations so they can benefit by breaking news sources, conferences and webinars

2.You should also perform regular threat assessments to determine the best approaches to protecting a system against a specific threat, along with assessing different types of threats.

3.In addition, penetration testing involves modeling real-world threats in order to discover vulnerabilities.

Vulnerability –

Weaknesses or gaps in a security program that can be exploited by threats to gain unauthorized access to an asset.

Few things for Business to secure threats:

1.Is your data backed up and stored in a secure off-site location?•Is your data stored in the cloud? If yes, how exactly is it being protected from cloud vulnerabilities?

2.What kind of network security do you have to determine who can access, modify or delete information from within your organization?•What kind of antivirus protection is in use? Are the licenses current? Is it running as often as needed?

3.Do you have a data recovery plan in the event of a vulnerability being exploited?
