• Project Management: Students will apply project management concepts to solve business/organizational needs.

• Business Intelligence: Students will evaluate business intelligence solutions to leverage against business/organizational needs.

Goals are further broken down into associated Student Learning Objectives for each core area:

• Networking: Students will design scalable, robust, network solutions to address business/organizational needs.

o Student is able to analyze business case to develop appropriate network solution.

o Student is able to develop appropriate logical design for business case given. o Student is able to develop appropriate physical design for business case given. o Student is able to develop appropriate wireless design for business case given. o Student is able to develop appropriate financial analysis of network investment. o Student addresses appropriate security measures necessary if network

• Systems Analysis: Students will develop appropriate solutions to address business/organizational needs utilizing systems development methodologies.

o Student is able to analyze business cases to identify functional requirements to develop an appropriate solution

o Student is able to identify and discuss the issues related to project scope o Student is able to create appropriate process models for the business case o Student is able to identify business case roles o Student is able to create appropriate diagrams for the business case o Student is able to identify, describe, and suggest systems development

methodologies based upon a business case o Student is able to identify component steps in a systems development

methodology and integrate contextual drivers for specific segments (for example security, implementation processes, or systems sourcing)

• Management Information Systems: Students will evaluate appropriate information technologies to support the strategic and operational goals of an organization.

• Databases: Students will design scalable, robust, database solutions to address business/organizational needs.

o Student is able to analyze business case to identify requirements to develop appropriate database solution.

o Student is able to create appropriate logical database models for business case given.

o Student is able to discuss appropriate management policies and procedures for database design.

• Project Management: Students will apply project management concepts to solve business/organizational needs.

o Students will explain concepts related to project management. o Students will evaluate situations that require application of concepts

related to the management of an information technology project. o Students will demonstrate knowledge of project management terms and

techniques.

o Students will use skills required to conduct research concerning current topics in project management.

o Students will use skills appropriate for managing the multiple, related phases of a project.

o Students will work as members of a project team to demonstrate knowledge and skill in completing a semester project.

• Business Intelligence: Students will evaluate business intelligence solutions to leverage against business/organizational needs.

o Formulate enterprise-wide business intelligence strategies to support the organization.

o Determine appropriate processes, tools, and technologies to implement enterprise-wide business intelligence strategies.

o Analyze organizations to identify business problems that can be addressed by transforming data into actionable insights.

o Appraise the quality and availability of both internal and external data sources.

o Apply ethical principles to protect individual privacy and organizational assets.

Guidelines For each Goal outlined above and its associated Student Learning Objectives, you are to develop a comprehensive study guide to help prospective students gain a better understanding of what they will learn in this program. Specifically, your Study Guide needs to teach prospective students about each Student Learning Objective. While free to utilize resources from the classes you took along the way, you are encouraged to find additional resources to help support your efforts, making sure you appropriately cite and reference all of your sources.
