Assignment: History, Perception, and Treatment of Victims/Student Replies

I agree that black people have endured plenty of violence for years at the hands of police officers, abuse, envy, jealousy, and intimidation. I also feel as though Black people have contributed to the slain of each other as well as others. Considering blacks and violent crimes, "the society in which a person resides is a major factor that determines a person's risk of dying violently" (Karmen, A., 2020). Do you believe that since the beginning of time, Blacks had no choice but to struggle for acceptance and equality, and are kept from rural areas because of stigmas that they are rowdy and rambunctious individuals? Do you think this is why it is hard for Blacks to achieve a better lifestyle and not become victims or offenders?
