You will be writing four papers for this class. Each paper will consist of four (4) articles for The Practical Skeptic Reading in Sociology.

      For this writing assignment you will select 4 (four) different articles that appeal to you the most about issues related to principles of sociology  from The Practical Skeptic Reading in Sociology for each paper. (Four papers due for this course). The papers should be at least six pages long, but not more than six. (1 Cover page, 4/5 body of the paper, and a 1 reference page = 6 or 7 pages). All papers must be typed 12 font, Times New Roman, double space and follow APA 6th edition writing requirements. No Abstract page required.

            The paper must follow APA  format. You must have a title page and a reference page. A minimum of six pages and a maximum of seven pages, including a title page and reference page

            Grading Criteria: 50 points possible

________ Title Page: Page number, running head, title, your name, and name of the University. Your name should not be in the running head or page number.   (3 points)

________ Summary: Must address each article on its own: Include your initial reaction to the information (10 points), describe what you consider to be important information; must be in your own words (20 points), and discuss how you will use the information to expand and strengthen your own attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors about your views. (10 points).

_________Reference Page: a separate page which had a page number, and the heading Reference centered on the page double spaced below the page number. Must be complete reference with author or title of article of no author. Must include date of publication or (n.d.) if there is no date. Include all appropriate information. See your handout on blackboard for examples. (2 points)
