 Research Hypothesis

The hypothesis of this project was studied by the use of random sampling whereby males and female of ages between 18-40 years old were determined whether they use protections when carrying out sexual intercourse or not. The random sampling ensured that people from different regions in a country are subjected to a questionnaire process hence asking them questions associated with their protections especially when carrying out sexual activities. For the purposes of obtaining genuine and effective feedback from the group of people, the random sampling was done to people from the ages of 18-20 years so as to again acquire realistic feedback from mature people. (Aiken, 2016).

Moreover, the sampling was carried out to a group of 100 people. The group of people subjected to the questionnaire process should be from both male and female genders so as to encourage gender balance and hence acquire variety of outcomes from all the people.

Methodology

The study was carried during the day and in the in a large region so as to acquire enough information hence answering the life questions about protection during sexual intercourse. This will therefore enable different institutions to come up with different mechanisms to ensure the people in the same region carry out protected sex to reduce contraction of diseases. When the surveying was carried out, both categorical and quantitative data were collected hence making the study effective. As far as the quantitative data was concerned, it occurred whereby the subject in the study was determined whether they used protection when carrying out sexual intercourse or they did not protect themselves. Moreover, the quantitative data analyzed the age of the subject undertaking the study. Again, the categorical data was used to determine whether the study was carried out in male or female. (Mire, 2016).

Control Groups

The study consisted of two main control groups which contributed to determination of effective collection of data. One of the group consisted of 50 males and the other group consisted of 50 females who were thus subjected to a surveying process. The group which consisted of the male was subjected to a surveying process where they were asked the number of times they have been doing protected and unprotected sex. The study was carried out in different streets in a city whereby sex has been commercialized by different people from the age of 18-40 years.

Survey

For the survey to be effective, different questions were asked to the participants as a way of their identification. The participants were asked to identify themselves if they were male or female and the number of time they have carried out sex without protection and again with protection. This identification came as a result of the categorical data in the study hence it made it easy for the study ensure that the gender corresponded with the age. Again, the participants in the study were asked about the age at which each of the people belonged for the effectiveness of the quantitative data. This was a significant part of the project as age was a requirement in the study. This brought the participants to the question n whether they use condoms or not. These questions were asked as show of protected sex by the people between the age limit for them to reduce the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. (Mire, 2016).

Statistical Results

After the survey forms were filled by the different people, it was clear that majority of the people who undertook the study do not use condoms as a way protections. Some of the people complained about irritation of the condoms hence making them unhealthy for the use. According to the study, 90% of the participants don’t consider using condoms as a way of protection hence subjecting themselves to different sexually transmitted diseases. Again, for the participants of 20-30 years old prefer condoms as a way of pregnancy protection thus they do not consider sexually transmitted infections. According to the study, a large percentage of the women consider protecting themselves unlike men who not value condoms as a protective measure by health care facilities. Majority of the women consider protection by the use of condoms due to the fear of the diseases as others do not use the protective measure as they argue that they help in bringing them cervix cancer which is a threat to their life. (Mire, 2016).

Moreover, the consideration of more men not to use the protective measure was accompanied by a belief that it encouraged unfaithfulness in majority of marriages. According to some other people, condom protects individuals from many diseases which might bring health deterioration when not controlled. This protective measure by different health facility has ensured that majority of people are protected from large number of diseases which in a way are prone to affecting the health of the people. People should carry out protected sexual intercourse as reduces the probability of diseases contraction. (Aiken, 2016).
