SpaceX is considering you for an entry-level managementposition. You have been asked to prepare an analysis of the company’s vision, mission, and achievements in space explorationas part of the selection process. Please prepare a 5–6 page reportthat includes anassessment of the company’s vision statement, mission, and strategic issues that may hinder the achievement of strategic goals. Your report should also recommend a detailed action plan addressing identified strategic issues.

Team, to help you get off on the right track in understanding the demands of case analysis, I am providing you with this memo for SpaceX. First, I require that you answer the case questions. These questions should assist you in the proper use of tools of strategic analysis, and PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM AS A CRUTCH. You are provided a series of questions that will allow you to provide an in-depth case analysis once adequately addressed. Note that I have made this a group assignment. Therefore, I expect you to give a solid submission with a contribution from each Co-manager of your team.

Please use the format[endnoteRef:1] below; [1: NO paper should be submitted without this format. It needs to appear on each group’s paper. You must use a format to make the paper easier for the reader.]

1. Major problems and issues

2. Analysis

3. Recommendations

After you answer the questions, you need to put them into the context of the outline above. Each of you does your analyses, and then you come together to combine your efforts into a finalized single submission. You are to provide me a copy via the drop box for this assignment in Blackboard.

Your paper should be double-spaced with a cover sheet indicating each student’s name, date, class, and instructor’s name. When posted to the drop box, use the following format: “Team_X(your team letter)_Airbnb_date.” The submission for team A would be Company_A_SpaceX_02192025

Remember, the sooner you roll up your sleeves and get into the rigors of case analysis, the sooner it will make more sense to you. I can guarantee you this. For those who choose to invest the time and energy into this course, the skills you develop will serve you well throughout your careers.
