Republicans and Democrats differ over the most pressing priorities for the nation’s immigration system. Republicans place particular importance on border security and deportations of immigrants who are in the country illegally, while Democrats place greater importance on paths to legal status for those who entered the country illegally – especially those who entered as children, according to a new Pew Research Center survey. The effect of immigration reforms on immigrants in America My research paper proposes an examination of the effects of immigration reforms on immigrants. My initial instinct strongly indicates the impacts of reforms on immigrants must be improved to suit immigrants. My initial thesis statement is immigration reforms must suit immigrants by providing fair and reasonable pathways to citizenship, prioritizing family reunification, and increasing access to benefits and resources from the government for immigrants. To conduct additional research, I will explore a variety of credible sources, such as the history of, which tell us where this history started in America. For hundreds of years, people have left their original homeland to come to America for more significant opportunities, leaving uncertainty for certain. They leave their county for many reasons, including lacking amenities, jobs, and security they hope to find in America. This is a credible source from the Library of Congress. I would also look at the Pew Research Center for an article by J Baxter Oliphant and Andy Cerda. This explains the data on how many Americans are supporting immigration reforms regarding pathways to citizenship. It states the views of Republicans and Democrats about immigrants The statistics in this source are exact and precise. Furthermore, I will also source from an article from the white house. It is a reliable source that explains the stand of the present government on immigration reforms. The pathway to citizenship is difficult and U.S. citizens view the process very differently. This essay will argue for an easier Fatoki 2 pathway to citizenship, for reuniting families, and how immigrants are an economic boost to embracing diversity Researching this topic is beneficial because immigrants would have a better sense of belonging in America. The government also would see an increase in the country’s labor force and economy. American principles, which are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, will be achieved.
