High Schools Internship 2

Green Run High school was opened on September [1979 as the largest school in the Beach community. The square footage of 247,000 at the cost of $11.4 millions. The color and symbol were chosen by a committee of students from different community schools . The schools location was used for hunting foxes by a hunting club. It was also used as a garden farm for neighboring city jail. In 1960, the Mennonite family sold the farm as part of the planned development. Also, it's one of the three schools that was built on a land that was part of the Algonquin Indian settlement.

I chose to complete my internship with this school because of the history of the positive effect that they displayed during the 80's and 90's. Now that the we entered a new era of the school, they had developed a negative impact on the community and the districts. I want to help change the atmosphere and bring back the community and students .They have lots of opportunities that can improve and invest in the next generation of students.

My role at Green Run High school is to change to platform of the students activities and sports program. Also, to evaluate the overall programs that will transition the students into college or university setting. I will assist the S.A.C (Student Activities Coordinator assessing behavior and learning process around the school. I will be able to focus on the marketing, sponsorship and fan engagement. Not only we want change the platform at our school but the district.

During my internship experience I’ve planned and organized an meeting with different association and change different ideas. I will also put together a group that will allow students to engage in sports and not physical participate in sports.

As, I finished up my experience with them I will develop a style that can provide opportunities for other young adults to move into sports management. I will still reach out to other AD's at the universities and other high schools to help me to develop a positive balance that allow me to learn more.

In conclusion, my experience with Green Run was to become a change agent for the student-athletes and he community.
