School Culture Typology Activity

In my chart the areas of strength was in decision making, openness, and leadership when it deals with collaboration. More teachers agreed that teachers are given the time to discuss student achievement, but they are giving others advice. The lowest areas were organization, socialization, and student achievement. When it comes to school values instead of the teacher making up their own values the school usually have the values outlined for the teachers. Trust was a big issue that isn’t expected. Another high area they agreed on was they don’t mind the parents being involved when it comes to the students. I think they need improvement on being able to trust their colleagues and understanding the school improvement is a continuous issue. We as teachers have to continue to look for ways to improve the way the students learn and more ways to encourage learning.
