SCA Strategy and SCA Design

You will be assessed based on your knowledge of the following Course Outcomes:

Use data analysis and big data to conduct analytical techniques and risk management within the context of supply chain management.

GEL-2.02: Interpret data as they apply to a discipline specific situation.

Over the past few weeks, you have continued to consider supply chain analytics from the perspectives of strategy and design. With strategy, you have aspects of both leadership as well as organizational alignment of work effort. With design, you have more creative aspects such as innovation, as well as more scientific aspects of optimization towards earning positive results.

Consider the following questions. Then use headers to structure your work, compose your original narrative, and use online research to strengthen weak areas of your narrative as you edit your coverage of these topics. They are as follows:

SCA Strategy

Why is it important that both organizational strategy and supply chain analytics strategy are properly aligned? What happens when it is misaligned or not aligned at all?

SCA Design

In your reading, there were many real-world examples of the importance of SCA design, as it helps connect strategy to operations. Write a narrative in your own words applying design concepts and supply chain analysis, similar to the examples in the text, to a real-world process from either your career, or a future career you intend to pursue that you have recently researched online.

Data Analysis

In Seminar, you learned how to conduct  basic statistics on data and big data. You also learned  one moderate method  of statistics to take this data analysis to the next level of analysis as an analytical technique.

Now it is time to try this on your own and show your results. Take your team data and ensure it is clean and ready for analysis. Then, run  basic statistics. Then, run  one moderate method of statistics. You can either use the same methods covered in Seminar, or email your professor for advice on a different method if you think it is more beneficial for you at work. You should wait until after this is covered in Seminar to start this work to prevent errors or re-work.

In your paper, present your labeled answers only. Then also attach, as a second attachment, your Microsoft Excel file for review, ensuring it contains both your raw data and analysis . This will be compared against your summary in the paper, so ensure you also double-check your work.

As you close your summary within the paper, connect how this data could help your real-world organization in the professional area of risk management — closely connected to supply chain analytics (SCA) as an important professional skill often utilized within the context of supply chain management.
