Do you Know Leadership?

When it comes to leadership, I think of a lot of figures such as Martin Luther King and how impactful they are and what they have to done and went through to be as impactful. I believe being charismatic and transformational are important traits to have to be successful. I have learned that in order to be charismatic you need to have a strong vision and be very articulate to convey your views and persuade people to believe in you. Also, transformational leaders need to embrace change to be successful but first a leader needs to observe an organization for a period of six to twelve months before implanting any change. To be a mixed of both, charismatic and transformational, is the key to success. To embrace change and to have the articulate power to persuade people in the organization to embrace said change. It is essential to hold values in order to be a charismatic leader. If one would choose to be a transactional leader, that would be okay as well, as long as the leader keep improving existing ideas and values. It all comes back to being a charismatic leader, as this kind of leadership can get things done on a rapid pace which is valued by organization. However, as well as a charismatic leader can work, it can be used for personal gain which is a negative way of using the influence power that has been bestowed upon the leader. One should always think of others before one’s self in order to be a great leader.
