High Cost of Product Production in Amazon Business problem statement

The year 2018 saw Amazon.com Inc. spend 22.6 billion dollars towards research and development. This amount has been increasing yearly and it is cutting on the profit margins of the company. While this spending is essential for the viability of the company, it does not have to be extravagant spending as there are companies with less spending on research and development but greater profits. The project shall, therefore, look into the high costs of production as well as information technology with Amazon.com Inc. as the case study. Name of the company or organization

Amazon.com Inc. Brief description of proposed solution

The Lean Process Improvement is a solution that works as a sieve. It works by looking into the processes of production for a company and remove the processes which can be considered as not significant to the production of the product (Womack & Jones, 2013). The key concern of the solution is the value that a process has to the production of a specific product and the higher the value the greater the chances of the product being left intact in the process. General benefits it will provide the organization

This solution will provide many benefits for the company. Firstly, it will cut on the cycle time of production. Secondly, it will increase production and consequently increase the sales of the company and which will ultimately lead to an increase in the increase of profit margins. Most significantly, this solution will reduce the costs budgeted for production of products.
