Introduction
Photography and video editing (cinematography) is an integral part of modern creative arts. It has grown to incorporate numerous aspects of visual data presentation and editing techniques.
This presentation explains how cinematography could contribute in our short film which was supposed to be about the students life in San Diego since coronavirus pandemic started.
What is Cinematography?
Cinematography is the art of motion-picture photography and filming either electronically by means of an image sensor, or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material.
It involves aspects such as:
Producing photoshoots.
Research and licensing of available content.
Editing incoming photos.
Skills needed:
Creativity and well-trained eye.
Having basic knowledge of color.
Know about lighting and film techniques.
Understand the aesthetic value of pictorial information.
See the scenes from different angles
Strong communication skills.
Excellent listening ability.

In our project on the effect of covid-19 to student life in San Diego, photography and video editing was instrumental in various aspects:
Recording of scenes.
Adding and organizing all the scenes into one short film.
Record in a way that makes the actors comfortable by choosing the right angles.
Clear the actors’ voices and add suitable sounds and musics.
