Topic: Public Health Approaches and Implications

Rationale: I am passionate about the overall effects of food advertisements in young

populations. Since all individual affects the community in some way, policymakers and others

can advocate and promote habits that will improve the community by implementing programs to

help the individual in areas that are less fortunate to improve the health of the public. I am a true

believer that TV advertisements and school programs can be held to purchase better health

supplies and educate young on the effects of advertisement. For example, the advertisement on

fast-food products has not decreased over the past years. Therefore this will be a great

opportunity to teach future generations’ unhealthy behaviors and about food trends amongst their

populations.
