Purpose: The goal of this assignment is to provide you with opportunities to apply concepts learned about in this class, conduct independent research, and think about how the VR system may apply to the clientele you will be serving in your chosen profession.

Guidelines: 1) The paper shall be submitted no later than 04/08/18 at 11:59 p.m. 2) Use APA style, spell and grammar check and address all components listed below. For assistance with APA style please see the OWL at Purdue or apa.org. (NOTE: Do NOT use I, we, they, unless I specify a section where you can do so. ALWAYS use people first language). 3) The paper shall be double spaced with 1 inch margins all the way around, and in Times New Roman 12 point font. 4) It shall be at least 5 pages of text. NOTE: Title page and Reference page do NOT count as part of the 5 pages. Substantial point reduction will result from papers that are too short. 5) Do NOT plagiarize! If you need help please contact the professor for assistance. 6) Do NOT use Wikipedia, the dictionary or google for your sources. You must use scholarly resources and have at least 3 references in addition to the text.

Sections of the paper (use sections 2-5 as your headings in the text of the paper): 1) Title page (Use APA style and make sure you include the Author’s note. Running page MUST appear on page 1 and headings and page numbers must appear on every page thereafter). 2) Introduction (Summarize what the paper will be about) 3) Case description (Make up a case that you might see as part of your profession. NOTE: It will have to be an adult. Describe the person and what their issues are, and include a career or work issue. A career or work issue might be that they need to go to work, are unsure about what they want to do, or have been injured and need to go back to work or find a different job. 4) Describe who will be on the team (make sure you at least include you, the VR counselor, and the client). 5) What services should the person receive? (For example, if they were in an accident and need counseling, they might need a counselor or psychologist. If they have trouble walking they might need a physical therapist, and if they have some issues with activities of daily living, they might need an OT. As part of the plan they need to be seeking work or going back to work, so they definitely need a VR counselor.
