1) Hook

Begin with a “QUOTE” to draw your readers’ attention on the topic.

With or without a context.

One sentence only.

Example 1:“H.W. raped me” – Rose McGowan on Twitter.

2) Introductory sentence

General purpose of writing this topic.

3) Topic Sentence

Introduce more details on your research issue/country you’ll be focusing on.

Some of you did not follow the explicit instructions for a video presentation. Avoid reading out your script and make sure to answer all questions from the guide sheet.

If your AR final submission shows a discrepancy in the way it was completed, and if your writing style and presentation skill do not match, it will not be graded.

I will not grade if there are insufficient proof of your writing.

If the authorship of the submission does not match and you got some help’ without discussing it with me before the submission, I will not accept your work.

Reminder

Some comments on your article review may indicate plagiarism (PL), which would deduct 5% of your essay grade. Failure to avoid PL will result in a 10% deduction for the second offense.

If you have not attended learning coach meetings, you need to see your coach once a week with your questions/tasks ready to complete this course because learning coach grades take up 10% of the total course grade (as indicated in a syllabus).

Revised Essay

Students who score C- or below (6 out of 10) may choose to rewrite ONE essay to improve their grade to a maximum of B-.

Only one essay (Article Review or Research Paper) may be rewritten for a higher grade.
