To test the hypothesis that as scores on the GAD-7 increase, scores on the Revised Shyness Scale would increase, the investigators conducted a Pearson r correlation. The results revealed a statistically significant relationship between GAD-7 scores (M= 9.24, SD = 5.6) and Revised Shyness Scale scores ( M = 62.60, SD = 15.553), r (143) = .290, p <.001. These findings show that both cognitive screening measures have higher anxiety associated with higher shyness scores. Positive correlations with each other.
