Response-1:

This chapter exclusively covered the theory of development and impacts of national and international policies on IT. It taught us about how an organization and an individual should adhere to the regulations, which are the results of frequent shifts in IT policies globally. Going forward this course is subject to teach students on how to develop sophisticated strategies that should help the industry to easily adapt the regulations. The global IT is a paradigm shift that keeps on changing the policies as per industry need and standards. Each organization frequently change their policies based on the adoption of new technologies. Also understood that the main reason for the failure if most of the projects in older days are because of the resource scarcity and resource contention. Learnt only 11% of the resources are involved in project planning due to which 70% of the projects failed to produce results. Later on, the industry realized the reason behind the project failures and established the regulations by establishing the governance methodology on whole IT of the company and governance on individual data components.

The main objectives that are achieved by establishing the regulations are.

1. Breaking up a problem into smaller pieces, in order to understand it more.

2. It helps us to keep things organized.

3. It identifies where we need to focus more.

Also learnt about the types of policies in IT, like Public and Private. How public policies affect the industry and how the privacy policy affects.
