1. Develop a product service idea.
My product is a mobile application to set up a carpool for employees working in an office. A lot of employees working in an office do not know that some of their employees live within a 2-mile radius of their home. The application takes employee data i.e. their addresses and office timings as an input and generates possible carpooling groups. An individual can log in and check the possible carpooling groups and get into the group.
A. Describe the product/service including the benefits of using the product/service
According to a survey, out of the carpooling group, 40% of them do carpool with their apartment/flatmates. The advantage of the same is that source is same and the individual destinations might be same or nearby others. With this application, we can have sources nearby and the destination is the same.
B. Discuss the potential customers for this product/service
Potential customers are the companies and their employees which can share the probable carpooling groups for the employees who can benefit from the same.
2. Based on the nature of the product/service, recommend at least 3 possible social media to use in marketing the product/service. Describe your recommendations and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each.
I will recommend LinkedIn, Facebook, Youtube for marketing my product on social media.
Facebook - Based on the Facebook users, one can say that easier way to reach out to a wide audience is through facebook. Share feature or newsfeed will help us more with the marketing.
Advantages are being able to reach out to a wider audience and facebook groups help us to communicate our carpool groups easier and form locality groups.
The disadvantage with facebook is that it costs us more for ad campaigns when compared with other social media.
LinkedIn - Linkedin is said to be the social media for professionals. Our product being related to companies having more than 100 employees and directly relates to professionals, LinkedIn helps to market the idea to the right audience.
The advantage is that to be able to reach out to correct set of audience and make them understand the importance of the same. The disadvantage is that we will not be able to communicate in groups
YouTube - Our product can be well presented with videos and be able to explain the scenario and how it helps to conserve the environment. With correct content, we can reach out to the right set of audience.
The advantage is to be able to present the content with videos and show the impact. The disadvantage of YouTube is that it is expensive to run an ad campaign and also might get far behind with the entertainment content.

I am very fascinated to enter Food Industry. Should I invest in a food truck or a sit-down restaurant? From an investment standpoint, as a first-time entrepreneur, I think food truck investment would be doing a huge favor. The word “food truck” used to remind us images of ugly gray trucks that sold unhealthy, not hygiene food. Times have changed, and now top chefs, successful restaurateurs, and quirky foodies are all getting in on to the food trucks. No Business is easy to start, so I will first start off with getting all the required permissions and certifications like Health Department Certification, Parking and truck permits. I must now decide on my cuisine and dishes. The tacos, sandwiches, and burgers are now available for very low prices. So, I would choose a Thai cuisine or Indian fast food which is not available in the area. Along with the food, I will also provide fresh fruit juices. Food Trucks have several advantages over the traditional restaurants. To start with, it is less of a risk as the investment is very less. With a mobile kitchen business there is no need for the payment to Cashiers, hosts, servers, utilities and so no overhead costs. One will have scope to build their brand even before expanding. This could be like a sample, where we can further expand our business based on the results.
To be successful in food truck business, location is more important factor compared to menu or cuisine. I would choose Washington DC area as the location, as the area will be always busy with tourists and so more scope for customers. After roaming around in the downtown streets, tourists might feel like eating delicious food and energize themselves with a drink to start their tour again. I am pretty sure that the high quality, hygienic, tasty and healthy food will surely attract the tourists.
I will choose to create a solid, memorable concept by painting with a very good concept which might attract people and make them discuss more about the Food Truck, as a word of mouth always stays on top of the list of Marketing techniques. I will make sure that my Food Truck is listed on all the popular apps which helps find food trucks in the area like Roaming Hunger. I will advertise and cater for weddings, corporate events and parties. I will change the location to places of local fairs and festival to attract more crowd. I will create a Facebook page, Instagram and twitter Accounts, post the pictures of the food and the daily menu. I will invite the customer feedback in a creative way instead of multiple questions. Positive feedback gives motivation, while negative feedback gives you a chance to find an area to improve yourself.

Regular data backups are very fundamental in any given organization, and it helps protect the data in case of any disaster No matter how efficient the computer appears to be a possibility for disasters that can wipe out the data cannot be ruled out. Therefore, businesses are finding t essential to have in place backup’s strategies to help in the data recovery. One of the approaches to ensure data backups includes:
Onsite and offsite backup
On-premise backup allows cheap and quick access to the data within the premise; this method did not require internet access this technique involved copying of data into hard disks and stored it in a different room or location but within the same building (Allen, 2016). However, one major drawback of this approach is that in case of a catastrophic phenomenon, the data backups can be lost since they are store don the same premise, for example in building collapses or fire starts, it can result in a detrimental effect as both the original and backup data will be destroyed.
Additionally, this on-site data can be easily stolen. On the other hand, offsite storage is where data is sent to remote center at a regular interval through the network, the software can be used for this type of backup and since they are efficient and timely the software won’t forget to make a duplicate copy and send it for backup(Allen, 2016). An additional advantage of this strategy is that numerous remote location can share the backed up data. Om disadvantage of offsite is that it can be challenging to access the data when needed. In any given backup, a balance between the cost and effectiveness of the backup method must be maintained.
