• Answer the questions for the following five artworks.

Be descriptive. Provide examples. Be specific. • I should be able to “see” what and where you are discussing in all of the following

artworks. Be specific.

• Do not copy text. Use your own words.

• Write your response in paragraph format. Follow link for basic paragraph format. • There should be a least one paragraph per artwork. • After answering all questions, your response should be approximately 500 words long

( 1 ½ - 2 pages.) • Double spacing is optional.

• Poor grammar, misspelled words, fragmented sentences and a poorly organized structure will lower your grade.

B. What did the artist do to create balance so the canvas does not feel like it will tip in one direction nor our eyes stay in one place? (2 pts.)

C. Discuss, with examples, two things the artist did to create unity. (What is similar?) (2 pts.)

D. Discuss, with examples, two things the artist did to create variety. (2 pts.)

B. Describe one painting technique the artist could have used if he painted with oil paint instead of tempera paint. (1 pt.)
