Most of the players after attaining a top-level in sports want to keep their position and status to keep up with the competition. People consider them as legends and some of them wanted to maintain it irrespective of what they do. Sportspersons started using illegal substances which enhance the performance of the players known as Steroids. Though steroids have a negative impact on the health of the players they still provide a temporary high which helps the players to go through the game they wanted to win. By doing such things many players have discolored the picture of their profession. These drugs are used for short-term gains but when caught by the sports boards the players face severe charges and punishments due to the act. Following the game rules and not breaking them is not only considered ethical, but the player must also not try to find loopholes in the sports board rules and use them to enhance performance by Steroids is considered as unethical and illegal. Unethical choices like these also affect the ethical choices made by other players. Major Basketball League is an American organization that participates in basketball games conducted by the American National League is said to use Steroids in 2003. An eight percent of players were found to use Steroids in the Major Basketball league to gain a competitive advantage over other players. One of their player Jose Canseco confessed that he and his teammates used Steroids during the Oakland Athletics and defeated them with the help of enhancement drugs.
