While this article critique is due in the last week, it is highly recommended to start working on it early on. Your critical essay should address the following questions:
1. Provide a complete APA citation of the article (Title, authors, journal, volume, year, and pages)
2. What are the questions(hypotheses) that the study(s) in the article try(s) to test?
3. Is the significance of those questions/hypotheses solidly elaborated in the review of the literature?
4. What are the major theories/concepts that it examines (be sure to briefly explain the theory)
5. What research method(s) is(are) used to collect data and test the questions/hypotheses? Are those research methods appropriate for those questions/hypotheses? Can you think of better or other equally good methods to collect data and test those questions/hypotheses?
6. What are the strengths and weakness of the research methods used in the study? Are those methods applied appropriately? Any place can be improved?
7. Anything interesting covered in the discussion part? What does the author say is the major contribution of the study?
8. Methodologically, what are the three takeaways you learned from this article? What are the three things you would improve if you were the author(s)?
