You may not be working with children or in the schools in the future, but it is valuable to be able to accurately and objectively describe functional behavior in a client of any age.  

Research functional behavior assessments and behavioral intervention planning and share what you find with your peers in this discussion.  Jerome Sattler PhD is a psychologist who has written a lot on child assessment and treatment planning.  If a client you were seeing brought the results to you of such an assessment in the schools, how might this better inform their counseling with you?
