In a research study, there must be alignment between the problem space, problem statement, purpose of the study, variables research questions, and methodology/research design. Assuring that these components align allows the researcher to produce a study with meaningful results. In this assignment, you will complete an alignment table that allows you to verify the alignment of your proposed study and make adjustments as needed.

General Requirements: Use the following information to ensure successful completion of the assignment:

· Locate and download the resource "Alignment Table" attached to this assignment.

· Doctoral learners are required to use APA 7th style for their writing assignments.

· Refer to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association for specific guidelines related to doctoral level writing. The manual contains essential information on manuscript structure and content, clear and concise writing, and academic grammar and usage.

· This assignment uses a rubric. Review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

· You are not required to submit this assignment to LopesWrite.

Directions:

1. Complete the "Alignment Table" using information from your proposed research study.

2. Based on what you have learned in class, assess whether the items are aligned. If they are not aligned, work to align them appropriately and revise the table. Remember alignment flow from the problem space to the problem statement and then, ultimately, to the remainder of the document.

3. Write a brief reflection (maximum 250 words) describing any areas that were out of alignment and how you addressed them. There is a designated space below the table in the resource document to add your reflection.
