St akeholders in educat ion refers t o anyone who is involved in t he wellbeing of t he a

school and it ’s st udent s.

They include t he st aff, st udent s local leaders, parent s and many ot her.

St akeholders in educat ion

Schools act as a nat ural hub and may port end signs of a communit y's decline. As a

count ermeasure, local schools will work wit h various communit y organizat ions,

businesses and agencies in a communit y mobilizat ion effort t o promot e a

cause. St akeholders, or part icipant s, in a communit y mobilizat ion effort represent a

specific segment of societ y. School board members, elect ed officials, neighborhood-

wat ch advisory council members, nonprofit organizat ions and religious leaders act as

The role of religious leaders

Religious leaders play a significant role in shaping behaviors of st udent ’s and ot her

educat ional st akeholders’ opinions and at t it udes because t hey are t he most t rust ed

in t he societ y.

Religious leaders are oft en t he most respect ed figures in t heir communit ies. Buddhist

monks and nuns, imams, past ors, priest s, Punjabis, and leaders of ot her

fait h communit ies play a powerful role in shaping at t it udes, opinions and behaviors

because t heir members t rust t hem.

Teachers are t he role models of st udent s and t hey develop a warm learning

environment for t he st udent s.

They also educat e st udent s placed on t heir care

Parent s support and facilit at e learning act ivit ies bot h in home and at school

They are also t he primary role models of t he st udent s (Cheung et al., 2015).

EFFECTIVE PARTNERSHIP

A growing body of research shows t hat building effect ive part nerships bet ween

parent s, families and schools t o support children’s learning leads t o improved learning

out comes.

The role of st udent s in t he educat ional syst em is t o learn what is being t aught by

t heir t eachers and find ways t o apply t hem in real life sit uat ions.

A st udent ’s role in an educat ional syst em is t o learn about t he subject and find ways

t o apply t hat learning for t he bet t erment of t hemselves or t o ot hers.

Communit y members are very import ant in t he educat ion syst em.

They act as t he wat chdogs t o ensure t hat educat ion serves t he people.

Non profit organizat ions on t he ot her hand provide resources, services and good t o

meet educat ional needs.

They also provide t raining programs for t eachers (Ket t unen, 2015).

All communit ies value educat ion for t heir children. Families eit her have power t o t ake

command and use it for t he wellbeing of t heir children’s educat ion or out siders exploit

and dominat e t hose who are powerless and leave t hem worse off.

They also help st udent s t o get services t hat t hey need.

develop and implement t heir own educat ional policies, hire and supervise professional

t eaching st affs, and raise money t o pay for schools

It also oversees curricular procedures and st andards (Spring, 2018).

Providing guidance for t he local school boards.

Licensing educat ional personnel.

Funding public educat ion in secondary schools.

Appoint ing members of governing boards in secondary educat ion inst it ut ions.

The degree t o which st at es and t errit ories cont rol educat ion depends upon t heir

const it ut ions, st at ut es, and regulat ions.

The primary role of federal agencies in public secondary educat ion is t o regulat e

educat ion.

They also set st andards of educat ion in all public secondary inst it ut ions (Baum et al.,

2017).

Most of t he day-t o-day operat ion of schools t akes place at t he st at e and local level.

Federal agencies also influence educat ion by allocat ing resources t o dist rict s which

adhere t o t heir guidelines.

Educat ion is not exact ly a const it ut ional right , like freedom of speech and assembly,

but it is an import ant enough int erest t o warrant const it ut ional prot ect ion.
