Event Summary

Since converting the whole business to working remotely in March, Microsoft executives held their first employee town hall meeting. Our 151,000 workers worldwide are used to virtual town halls with CEO Satya Nadella and other executives. After asking workers to work from home in response to COVID-19, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and his leadership team decided to pull the business together. In his message, Nadella was careful not to concentrate on industry solely. He also mentioned the difficulties that his employees are experiencing and thanked everyone for their capacity to experiment. Microsoft, for example, has been charging its retail store employees even though the stores are closed. Workers (including Nadella) have often worked from home to keep them as healthy as possible.

Leader Recognize Employees' Contribution

He has encouraged the company's 124,000 employees to embrace what he refers to as "learn-it-all" enthusiasm (as opposed to Microsoft's historical know-it-all bent), which has prompted designers, consumers, and investors to engage with the company in fresh, more modern ways (McCracken, 2018). Nadella is a modern CEO who can emphasize the sorts of soft skills often dismissed in the cutthroat context of professional governance but are becoming highly relevant in today's fast-paced marketplace.

Apply to Work Situation

I am currently working as a manager in a small-scale company. I will put it into practice by making my workers happy. Happy employees are motoday'sficient. Being noticed instills in your employees a sense of job mastery and assures them that they are a good match for their roles and the business. The acknowledgment will boost efficiency, boost loyalty, and encourage collaboration. Also, the workplace should be a place where positive reinforcement is encouraged, and corrective feedback is welcomed (Khuwaja et al., 2020). I'd also like to let my employees know that their efforts are being valued by management, inspiring my company's most important asset.

Personal involvement in leadership

It entails making great sacrifices to ensure that you lead, steer, monitor, and organize all of the functions that lead to achieving the set goals. It's the desire to cultivate and use your strong leadership qualities to steer your life's path rather than allowing time and opportunity to do so.

Importance of being personally a leader

It is significant as one can be a part of the change to the organization's problems. One can also learn and improve skills to advance in their career (Gross, 2019). Since any employee you recruit communicates within your organization and represents your business to the outside world, professional, effective leadership is equally essential to you as an employer. How people work, respond, and lead others is heavily influenced by their self-image and encouragement.

Ways to get personally involved

One should participate in the creation of an organization's vision and assist all stakeholders in personalizing it. Getting innovative with employee benefits will pay off big time. It doesn't have to be expensive; it just needs to demonstrate that you've considered how you can improve your employees'' personal or professional lives (Chen, n.d.). A few problematic encounters typically follow transparency, and these discussions demonstrate that you care enough to tell workers the truth, which could mean a lot to them. As a bonus, honest and forthright reviews will lead to better outcomes.
