Hello everyone,

I received some great feedback on my project. I think for my project there are a couple of places I could elaborate more. The market section of my paper talks about the success of other subscription-based boxes. I may add that to my audiovisual presentation as it will add to our overall goal towards obtaining investors. If they know others are successful with different concepts and ideas, then ours will be too. I was also thinking about the innovative process for this company, and how we are taking a step back from an online connection. Yes, we plan to utilize direct-to-consumer and online subscriptions, but we want to focus on bringing families together in person and not online. Another great idea that was given to me as feedback was to incorporate handouts. I was thinking the handout could outline the financials for my business.

In order to strengthen these areas to obtain financial support, I have determined some identifiable and quantifiable goals to obtain the financial support we are needing. Our goals are to gain funding of $30,000.00 from investors by 2021. Another goal is to have our website up and running in three weeks. Next, we want traffic to our site between 1,000 and 5,000 views. Then, our next goal is to have at least 100 customers for the first year and increase by 100 customers every year thereafter.

Thank you!

Last week’s mini discussion groups on our proposed projects and / or services, was very beneficial.   I received excellent feedback regarding my implementation plan presentation from my small group.  Many of the suggested comments, I will implement into my Historic Data presentation.

However, I found that were my presentation lacked was in the company overview.  I did not really discuss the company culture, geopolitical issues, environmental issues or corporate social responsibility, which Pratt & Whitney is big on.  I think implementing these items into the presentation will be a plus for the executives to hear coming from an employee.

In addition, I did not put enough emphasize on the company’s financials due to the low projected cost and requested budget.  This area, I believe, could have been expanded maybe with a sample slide of DVD cost verses on-line and the savings.

Lastly, I shied away from how COVID has affected the airline industry and why funding may be difficult to obtain.  I think I should have stressed that the airline industry is continuing to be bleak with fears mounting over a potential second wave of coronavirus infections this fall and winter (Turak, 2020, para. 1).  Currently there are 43 commercial airlines that have folded, and an estimated 485 planes grounded (Turak, 2020, para 4).  Furthermore, no one expects travel to return to normal anytime soon with travel demand expected to plummet 70% for this year, according to S&P Global, and the IATA doesn’t see air travel recovery to pre-pandemic levels until 2024 (Turak, 2020, para 22), which will cause a delay and possible funding until recovery.
