I'm a fan of guns and the art that is put into how they are created. Some of us have to understand it's not the weapon that is doing the killings, it's the people holding the gun. I agree that Americans should have the right to bear arm when it comes to defending themselves and the people in their home. Certain military grade weapons should be sold legally because of the damage they can cause. Guns such as the sawed shotgun have been banned and since the AR-15 has been the popular choice in mass shootings it should be ban. As far as strict ownership I believe that the laws should stricter on people who have been diagnosed mental illness, PTSD caused because of war. or citizens who have criminal charges on the record. It's sad that we as a country have had this many mass shootings especially the ones that happen at schools. I think the scary thing is that people who are getting into altercations are no longer using their fist and resort to use guns today. Which could lead up to the wrong person getting severely hurt or killed. People are just so quick to pick up a gun instead of using their brain to resolve the issue. It's interesting though to read that people who have guns tend to die by them, and the people who don't own a weapon are safer. It reminds me of the saying "live by sword you die by the sword."
