1- Using your textbook and data and websites from Week 1, take two American Protestant denomination groups from Chapters 4 and 5. Highlight a new fact that you surfaced. When you respond to your classmates' DQ, highlight a new fact that they surfaced.

2- Choose four distinct aspects of Protestant faith and practice. Which of these aspects do you see as more common and/or rarer? Cite examples.

3- The founder of the Methodist church John Wesley (along with his brother Charles) preached that that religion is of the heart and of the will of a person and not necessarily what you believed without action.  It is action through love and devotion that manifest the essence of your religion.  Religious truth comes from action and not mere beliefs (Hemeyer, 2010, p.72).

The Baptist is also an interesting group too? Any new facts you have unearthed about them?

4- Think about our readings on Chapter 3 on Protestant churches and Chapter 4 on Evangelicals describes the core beliefs and differences briefly.

Also address what was the most important thing you learned about both denominations and what important questions remains unanswered about these groups?

5-The similarities between these denominations are so striking that it is very interesting to pick apart their differences. 

Are the Episcopalians different for other Protestants? For them their priest marries and women can be ordained but it is not the same as in the Baptist church. What are the other ways in which Methodists are different from Episcopalians?
