The final essay is a personal essay in which you reflect on your experience of reading and writing this semester in ENGL 1101.

• As you write, some questions to guide your reflection may include:
• How has this course impacted your writing practices?
• What lessons will you take away from this course and apply to future writing courses?
• What readings did you like or find interesting? Why?
• What discussions did you like, and how did they help you understand the material or assignments?
• What was unique or interesting about the course situation? (You were, after all, taking this course dual-enrolled)
• Do you like writing and reading more or less as a result of this course?

 

The tone for this one is more casual than the previous essays. You need to use first-person, and you can be honest about your feelings regarding the course and your experience in it.
