Introduction

When I started this class, I hoped to learn and improve my technical writing. I wanted to

understand the type of wrings that is done in big organizations. I wanted and hoped to diversify

my writing and understand the writing process and the various stages of writing. I hoped also to

learn ethical writing and its collaboration to technical writing. I hoped to learn and understand

how I could write with others. I hoped to learn technical editing and be able to have an online

team that we can have a writing project and write together. I also hoped to understand

plagiarism. I hoped to write my work with zero plagiarism. I hoped also to learn how to

minimize plagiarism and if possible avoid it completely. I have always had a hard time

understanding what is copywriter in writing. I hoped when I started this class that I would have

clear understanding and clarification. When I started this class I had high expectations and hopes

of learning more about interviews, to analyze various readers and even how to be able to find out

more about the readers. I hoped also to learn about informal checking, understand writing in

different positions in the organization. I needed to learn how to effectively answer questions and

learn how to perfectly perform a task. In this class also, I hoped to be able to learn how to

brainstorm and think aloud. I hoped also understand organizations better and how they used and

sort their different information. I hoped to learn and understand the main topics and also be able

to identify the subtopics in the organization information. I hoped to advance my writing and

better my writing skills. I hoped to improve on developing effective paragraphs in my work and

also construct sentences and paragraphs that show unity of ideas, smooth flow and coherences. I

hoped to learn to create the final draft of my writing project. Understanding report writing was

one of my major hoping immediately I started this class. I wanted to learn to write organizational

memos, Email and Letters also.

I am glad that a good percentage of what I hoped and expected when I started this class

have been met. I have improved my writing and I have advanced my knowledge in writing. I had

a big problem with plagiarism but I am now able to write work with zero plagiarism. I have a

good understanding of etymology, I can understand organizational information.MY paragraphs

are now coherent and my writing has smooth flow. Writing with others has become easy to me

and I can now collaborate with my team and partners even those who are online.

From this project, I hoped to learn and boost my confidence in writing. I hoped to have

the concept of a writer and a reader and understand the relation and also the importance of active

participation. From this project, I hoped to be equipped with the writing and reading skills that

are competitive in the modern word and various written materials. I hoped to learn the various

types of writing that is mostly used in different careers. I also from this project hoped to be able

to analyze various audiences and be able to develop communication strategies that are effective

for various audiences.

My expectations in this area were met as I have developed my ability to understand and

differentiate various uses of facts judgments and inferences. I am also have improved my

awareness and be able to integrate written communications. I am able to demonstrate effective

communication. My expectations of determining my purpose and having a skill of revising and

composing various documents with appropriate formats and language.

To improve my learning experience, I will have variety of assessment and be involved in

group discussions. This will help better my understanding and improve my learning experience

of the course. The course of the syllabus could be posted online so that it can be easily available.

Knowing upfront what is expected in the course will help students to be prepared and also be

able to manage their expectations. Group works are essential way to improve learning

experience. Also using variety of assessments to check the progress of learning will help

understand the areas that I need to put more effort and improve.

The parts that I felt were the most important of the course was it gives significant aspects

of writing in different careers. The skill learned from this course can also be applied in other

fields such as social science and education. The parts of learning to write effectively I also feel

that it is very important. The knowledge from this course is widespread. The part of learning to

analyzing the audience is also important so as to understand what structure of communication to

use. The least important parts was that Technical writing does not only need formal education

and a perfect writing experience, it also need s some specialization in certain fields so as to apply

technical writing effectively.
